Ethical Principles and Publication Policy
Publication Ethics
The primary objective of the Journal of Emerging Educational Studies is to generate, enhance, and disseminate knowledge in the field of Education through rigorous scientific methods. This is achieved by investigating the latest advancements in the field using a comprehensive and all-encompassing approach.
Scientific works are investigations that are conducted using scientific methods and are characterised by the application of scientific methods and objectivity. During the production of these works, all parties involved in the publication process, including the publisher, editor, author, reviewers, and readers, are required to adhere to ethical principles. JEES is required to adhere to ethical principles throughout the publication process, as outlined in the guidelines and policies provided by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). These include the "Code of Conduct and Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors" and "Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors" by COPE.
If any instances of manipulated, falsified, or fabricated data are detected in scientific studies submitted to or accepted by the journal, the author's affiliated institution(s) will be notified and the study will be rejected. JEES has the authority to request the documents pertaining to the analysis results from the authors, as per the feedback provided by the editorial board and/or reviewers.
Ethical Responsibilities of the Publisher
Journal of Emerging Educational Studies is an educational research journal that has been published since 2024 under the management of a publication board or editorial board. The journal publisher advocates for the publication of scientific works in adherence to ethical principles and operates on a non-profit basis.
• The publisher, as a stakeholder in the scientific study, must adhere to ethical principles.
The publisher bears the responsibility of utilising their communication skills impartially, without prioritising personal gains, and guiding the audience accurately.
The publisher safeguards the intellectual property rights and copyrights of the articles published in their journal, and takes responsibility for archiving each publication.
• Individuals should not hesitate to contact the publisher if they encounter an unethical situation.
Ethical Responsibilities of the Editor(s)
Rejecting articles that do not align with the objectives and focus of the Journal.
Taking into account the initial value of the articles, their impact on the field, the trustworthiness and accuracy of the research method, the clarity of the writing, and the purpose and extent of the Journal.
Applying double-blind peer review method and evaluation process policies adopted by the journal, keep the identity information of the reviewers confidential, providing with objective and timely evaluation for each article.
Ensuring independent peer evaluation by appointing reviewers who are not affiliated with the authors' institutions.
Submitting articles to editors and reviewers based on their expertise in the field, in order to facilitate an objective and impartial evaluation process.
Performing their duties in a fair and unbiased manner, without any discrimination based on gender, religion, political beliefs, ethnicity, or geographical origins of the authors.
Implementing essential measures and scrutinising the provided statements, if any, to avert potential conflicts of interest. If there is a conflict of interest, the Journal will temporarily halt the evaluation process of the article until the ambiguity is resolved. In such cases, the Journal has the authority to request Research Ethics Committee Approval, Interviewer Consent Forms, and any other necessary documents.
Implementing necessary protocols by following the journal's policies and procedures in the event of an ethical violation complaint. Providing an opportunity for authors to respond to complaints and ensuring that necessary penalties are imposed regardless of the ownership of the article.
Demonstrating responsible and considerate behaviour when publishing content, including notices of correction, explanations, apologies, and disclaimers.
